Reception

Our wedding reception will be celebrated on Thompson Island in Boston Harbor. The island is home to Thompson Island Outward Bound, a school for Boston youth, and our wedding reception will support their educational programs. A Boston Harbor Cruises' charter boat will depart from Long Wharf in Boston at 2 PM for a 25-minute cruise to Thompson Island. We plan to have a fun and unique reception featuring a backyard cookout meal, dancing, and a rousing game of kickball. The official reception will end at 6:30 PM just in time to watch the sunset over Boston Harbor. A charter boat will return guests to Long Wharf at this time, but we encourage all of our guests to remain and stay with us at Thompson Island's overnight accomadations (for more information see the Lodging page).
